More About Me

What makes it HOME

With so many people working from home, it’s important to remind ourselves that home is a place where you are comfortable and happy. Sometimes it's the little things that help determine where home is. It could be the big walk-in closet, the cook-inspired kitchen or the view out the front window. For my family it was a tree in the yard. We spend many summer afternoons under the shade of our big birch tree with the cool breeze from the open fields next door. I knew when I saw this house that this is where I wanted to raise my family. It’s different for everyone but whether it’s your forever dream home or your for-just-right-now home, I can help you find it.

Why I love West Michigan

The West Michigan area is an exciting year round place, there is always something going on. In the winter months I enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and iceskating with friends and family. In the summer months there are miles of beaches to explore either from land or the water. We became a boat family not too long ago and enjoy going out and relaxing with the flow of the boat and sometimes finding a little more speed with the wakeboards or inner-tubes. If your not into the water scene there is plenty to do inland as well with lots of shops and trails to explore. We have a few of our horses we like to take trail riding and occasionally, we even have the opportunity to work some cattle. One reason I moved to the west Michigan area is the clear summer skies. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and spent my summers with my grandma in Michigan. One of my fondest memories was how clear the skies were at night. There was no city-light to block the beauty of the stars and the Milky-way. No matter what your interests are, the West Michigan area has so much to offer.

My hobbies and passions

There is a long list of hobbies that I have with my family, all of which I’m able to partake in in beautiful West Michigan. As I mentioned above, the horses, boating, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing, I also like to dabble in photography. I can thank this area for getting me involved more with photography thanks to an opportunity to see the Northern Lights one night out on the Whitelake Pier. A friend of mine had mentioned we might be able to see them but would likely need a camera to catch it. Well as luck would have it after playing with some of the settings and a lot of patients, we were able to catch a small glimpse of the Lights. After that I was hooked and just had to see what else the camera could catch.
